11 reasons why finding right college
for the higher education is not easy
Nothing is easy in this world and especially students seeking
right colleges for the master’s degree in relevant colleges. It requires
adequate research and prospective information about the college/institution you
seek admission into and it is necessary to get into the right groove to get
admission into the best colleges. Students often go through the roller coaster
ride finding the right college for themselves and several students end up
taking wrong decisions due to peer pressure from society and other external
pressures. Being a graduate, you are matured enough to take your own decisions
but then there are certain situations where you can’t really decide being in a
hurry. Here are some of the perfect reasons why finding right college for the
higher education is not easy in India:
1. Almost all the colleges you go to will claim they are the best college in
the country- The
majority of the colleges you find will try their best to convince you why they
are the best college in the country though the truth is something else. All
they expect is hefty fees from you to pay and rest they don’t give a damn to
what you do.
2. Some of your friends are busy setting up their own business while some
are spending lakhs and seeking admission in colleges you haven’t even heard
about- Guess what, I
think it’s pretty common when you are in a situation unable to take any move
and you find others doing hell lot of other stuffs. It often feels like others
are excellent decision makers and you are the only one sitting idle and doing
nothing.
3. The college/university you are interested for demands hefty fees and the
colleges interested to take you are not worth paying any fees- This is quite natural and it happens
with almost several students. The only way to get over this situation is to
take admission in any B grade college which is at least affordable and you can at
least say with little pride that you acquired your master’sdegree from this
college.
4. You know what you want to do but still don’t know what you want to do- Well, going by this saying it’s
almost quite common for any student to get confused and explore amongst several
career options but believe it or not, confusion is the beginning towards see
things with clarity. You have to be pretty sure with what you want to pursue
later in your life so that you end up being in the college you have always
dreamt about.
5. You seek different opinions from different people and in the end youend
up beingunopinionated- It’s like you are having an ache in your stomach and you chose to consult
cardiologist for treating it. It’s not bad to take opinions but it’s neither
recommended to take opinion from anyone and everyone who come in your path.
6. Youlive life on your own terms like there’s just one life to live- The lucky-go-happy people who hardly
care what happens to them and have spent most part of their lives smiling and
living the moments to the fullest. Who says being happy is not good but then
who says be happy like a blind (if you know what I mean).
7. Loans are easily available but not easily payable- Yes, you heard it right because it
takes balls to repay the loans on your own and that too as soon as you find a
new job. Who the hell on earth wants to live a life like you earn 10k and spend
5k for repayment of loan. There will be several situations where you have to
take important decisions in life but that never means you will surrender
yourself.
8. You have several plans in your mind, so you often end up getting
confused- Listing
your priorities is extremely important but your priority list is so long that
you cannot decide which is of utmost priority at the moment. It’s not easy to
prioritize stuffs and get things in order in no time since your decision making
skills will be put to test and you have to make a choice.
9.
You have made
awesome career choice, but it’s seriously your parents who are not convinced
with your decision- Yes, you are enthusiastic what you want to do and you have
been waiting for this day ever since you dreamt of becoming one but your
parents are not convinced about your career choice. Now its you vs your parents
and there will be one clear winner (make sure it’s you otherwise you will be
losing out a major opportunity to pursue your dreams).
10.
The college you considered going and spending
your dad’s hard earned fees was totally worth only till recently when you got
to know it has more negative reputation- This is one college you have always
targeted and was desperate to get into but you soon discover that rather it was
one of the biggest mistakes you would have ever committed. You might have
seriously lacked somewhere in researching about the college or maybe the
students reviews you heard were more fake than you could ever imagine.
11.
You are certain about not one college but two
colleges or even more- Yes, this is a very familiar situation with students
especially in India where student’s choice becomes
unrestricted. They want to pursue higher studies and they find themselves
attracted to more than one colleges or even more in certain cases. What should
you then, consult with your parents, turn to a friend for a guide or consult a
counselor? Well, you have to set your priority and decide which college you
want to actually join.
